New innovation for traditional printing
Wool Source Pigments represent years of R&D to create the patent-protected technology for transforming New Zealand strong wool into biobased pigments with 97-98% biobased content (ASTMD6866).
Our 10µm pigments offer a more sustainable colour solution for screen printing inks, providing comparable colour and wash fastness to traditional pigments while being ethically sourced, minimally processed and made to contribute to a circular economy.
These pigments mix well in standard bases for plastisol and water-based inks and work at a range of inclusion rates for tailored colour payoffs.
In the meantime we're continuing to refine our pigment offerings for flexographic, offset and gravure printing with promising early testing.
We are also working on further applications for print in 100% biobased uncoloured powder as a cleaning agent and an overprint varnish.
