3D printing
Injecting colour from a renewable source
Whether you're a 3D printing hobbyist, commercial creator or prototyping components - you now have an ethically sourced alternative to traditional fossil fuel-coloured filament.
Wool Source Pigments contain 97-98% biobased carbon content (ASTMD6866). Using ground-breaking technology we've transformed pure New Zealand wool into a colourant for 3D printing. This means 3D filament manufacturers and consumers have a replacement for conventional synthetic or mineral pigments - your 3D printed creations can now be coloured from a renewable source. Our pigments are available in a variety of colours, some suitable for next to food contact. We also offer our pigments in 150µm size (on request) if you're looking to add a textural effect.
Wool Source Pigments can formulate into thermoplastic filaments including PLA, rPLA, PCL, PBS and PHAs like PHBV at a range of inclusion rates to tailor your colour payoff.
To purchase 3D filament using Wool Source Pigments now, see more information below on our collaboration with New Zealand filament producer, KiwiFil. Alternatively, let your 3D filament supplier know you want filament with Wool Source Pigments, and direct them to our website.
